Mongolia’s Freshly Appointed Government Takes Office
This week, a strategic coalition was formed between the MPP, the Hun Party, and the Civil Will-Green Party to establish a unified government. The alliance agreed to a cabinet structure consisting of 19 ministers overseeing 16 ministries. Out of these ministerial positions, the MPP secured 16, the Hun Party was allotted two, and the Civil Will-Green Party received one seat.
Prime Minister Zandanshatar opted to keep several key ministers from the previous administration, maintaining continuity while signaling a cooperative approach with the newly formed coalition. This government formation highlights the parties’ commitment to collaboration and stability, aiming to tackle Mongolia’s ongoing socio-economic challenges effectively.
